Shouldn't the skimmer have been destroyed with the immobilized result? Or am I missing something?

it really only matters if trey had alternate firing contengencie plans for target priorities, etc.

mainly i want to know if i'm missing something about skimmers being immobilized.

The Tau skimmers have landing gear so they just land if they get an immobilized result - I'm not sure if other races have that sort of thing for their skimmers, though.

True. However, to my knowledge, the Empire of Man has never quite figured out the complexity of the oh so complicated LANDING GEAR!!! :)

Keith - That was the case with 4th Ed I believe. In 5th Ed., due to the new rules, all vehicles are a little more difficult it bring down.

In 5th Ed., as long as the Skimmer didn't move 'Flat Out' the previous turn, then it just lands on the ground and is counted as Immobilized just like any other vehicle, which sort of makes the Landing Gear on Tau vehicles obsolete.
