Commanders,
Chapter Master Valandar Rex gets his first victory of the tournament in a sleeper. The Ancient Hungerer realized early on that his Hive was severely out matched; lots of firepower + open terrain does not equal good victory conditions for Tyranid armies. The Ancient Hungerer chose a reverse "hit & run" tequnique to equal the odds; a plan that nearly worked had it not been for a pesky set of ruins occupying a large portion of the middle of the board.
Good shootin' Rex!
Everyone help me congratulate Chapter Master Valandar Rex on his victroy!
Here is your final score:
Dark Knights
Casualty Points: 148
Hive Fleet Nemesis
Casualty Points: 75
Victor: Dark Knights
An interesting side note... originally I had processed the shooting orders for N1 not realizing that there was more than 6" of area terrain between them and their target (DK2b).
ReplyDeleteAs it turned out, all 3 Deatherspitter shots hit, but only killing 2 additional marines, bringing Hive Fleet Nemesis' CP's to 107. Damn close!
Nice try Bill!

I think Bill was just feeling guilty about his win over me...
ReplyDeleteI don't believe him about it not being good for his army...
The sisters had the same BS, the same armor, same bolters. Even had a building right in the middle. Didn't stop him then! :)
I just think the Nids have a taste for Nun flesh. :)
Feeling guilty...??? That doesn't sound like Bill at all. LOL j/k
ReplyDeleteNo, I'm pretty sure it was those 5 Blast template weapons, and a plethora of rapid fire bolters that had something to do with it. :)
